Thinking Blue
There are lots of things to talk about today. As you guys
know, I’ve been working hard on a book called The Labyrinth Wall for some time
now. It has been through a round of professional editing and I am nearly
completed with final updates (on page 266 of 292.) However, I’d really like to
make some pushes to get that finished up soon and wrap up some art I’ve been
developing based on the book. All that to say, I plan to take a break from
posting Movie MashUps and will be pulling back a bit on posting in general. I’ve
really appreciated all of your comment love and will still be visiting
everyone. I plan to start weekly posts again in October.

In the mean time, my main focus will be The Labyrinth Wall.
While we are on the subject of The Labyrinth Wall, I wanted to share some bits
and pieces of progress so far. So today, I will tell you a little about a side
character named Blue.
While we are on the subject of The Labyrinth Wall, I wanted to share some bits
and pieces of progress so far. So today, I will tell you a little about a side
character named Blue.
She’s tall, she’s got feathers and even though she’s a bird,
she’s the only friend Araina has made during her time in the labyrinth.
Ironically, Blue has a small scar on her face, which Araina accidently put on
her. Blue was inspired partly by my own love for animal companions and also my
interest in herons. I’m actually scared of birds, so I’ve realized in creating
her character, that subconsciously I am trying to get past that (it does seem
to be helping). So, that’s a bit about Blue and below is the sketch I created
of her when she first came into my mind.

This is Araina’s dagger which she carries in hair. I share the
dagger art with you in this post, because if you notice, Araina has carved Blue’s
image into the butt of the dagger.

Thanks again for visiting. I’m so excited to finish
polishing this story and share it. It’s scary, but very exciting! Have a great
week everyone and I will be visiting you soon J

P.S. Isn’t Rachel Morgan’s new book cover beautiful?
Congrats Morgan on the The Faerie War cover release.
