I hope you’ve been having a wonderful summer. In my world there have been ups and downs. I have to confess the last month or two had rough patches for me and people in my life (I’m being vague on purpose). I guess this is me hinting at how wonderful it would be if you all could put some encouraging thoughts and prayers out for some family and friends of mine. However, the struggles from the past couple of months are balanced out with some great things too. Jumping back into the blogging and online community has been one of the highlights of my summer, along with family visits, seeing friends, and Jurassic World (I thought it was awesome…. there I said it, haha).
Anyway, I’m very excited to get to the main point of this post, which is a Creative Con recap and The Haunted Realm summary reveal!
Creative Con:
Last weekend I was thrilled to sign books and meet fellow fiction lovers at Creative Con in Panama City. This was my first creative/fantasy/science fiction convention of any kind, and it was wonderful. There were all sorts of awesome cosplay outfits, great artists and fun workshops going on. What a thrill to meet so many people with a shared love of imagination and creativity (I’m still bathing in the awesomeness of the event if you can’t tell). Below are some highlights from my Creative Con adventures. Have you had any “con” event experiences? I’d love to hear about it if so.

The Haunted Realm:
Another big and exciting thing that happened at Creative Con was The Haunted Realm (the second installment in the Young Adult Fantasy obsidian book series) summary reveal and tentative release date announcement (October, 2015). Finally, the time has come for The Haunted Realm summary reveal online too (so sorry I couldn’t get the reveal online sooner, the event was a wonderful kind of chaotic).
The Haunted Realm Summary Reveal:
As Araina and her friends search for answers about their Creators and their magical labyrinth world, their journey becomes rife with peril when Araina falls victim to illness. Despite heart-pricking losses in the labyrinth swamps, vengeful ghostly attackers in the Blinking Willows, and many other dangerous obstacles, Araina is determined to succeed. If Araina can’t solve the mysteries of the haunted realm and find a cure for her sickness, she and her friends may never escape the labyrinth, or even live to try.
