We’re fortunate to have Sarit Yahalomi visiting the blog today. Sarit is a biologist with a hunger for reading. Sair has said “I love poetry, coffee, and all the fields of ART. My acquaintance Love for Sci-fi started with Frank Herbert’s “Dune”. From Hard core classic Sci fi it was easy to expand to fantasy & para normal, from Ursula K. Le Guin, Patricia A. McKillip, J. R. R. Tolkien, Roger Zelazny and others.”
As you’ve already gathered, Sarit is a huge fan of art and writing, and is a creative blogger as well. I was pretty excited that we got to delve further into some of these topics in the Fellow Creatives interview below.
Sarit Yahalomi Fellow Creatives
Interview:
Can you briefly tell us a bit about yourself?
I was reading obsessively since the day I learn to read … to read in English I started very late … during my travel in India… my first book then was Shogun. My first book in Sci Fi was Dune. So as you see I love Sci Fi , Fantazy, YA
If you told someone they could understand you better by listening
to three songs, which would they be? Why?
Because they sing on life/love/children/war/hope without ignoring the harsh reality. And because I love their voice and music.
Asa [asha] – 360° –
the 360 degrees,
Now it’s time to go the 180
You don’t have to climb
The highest mountain
For all you’re looking for
Is within you
Open the eyes of your mind
Your ears and mouth
As I sing my song
Open the eyes of your mind
Your ears and mouth
As you hear my words o o o
Pa ra ra n pa n pa ra re
I’ll be waiting
I’ll be
We still live in yesterday
Many today they waste away
But never the less it’s never late o
See the times have changed
I thought you knew
That this world, will
Never ever wait for you
The world has gone past times of fighting
So drop your guns and your swords
And let us live all as one
We all need love and understanding
So drop your guns and your swords
And let us live all as one hohoo
Pa ra ra n pa n pa ra re
I’ll be waiting
I’ll be
Every nation across the ocean
It’s more than just our colours
We all need one another
Every people, where ever you be
It’s more than just our colours
We all need one another
- Toni Childs – Womb –
I’m breathing in her
I’m breathing in the darkness
Of what it is to live
It’s beautiful here
I’m breathing in life
I’m breathing in blood
I’m breathing in the liquid
Of life and holy joy
It’s beautiful here
Ythere is safety in my ears
It’s wonderful to be here with you
I’m feeling safe inside you
And i’m feeling like life would inside of you
The blood and the river are the same
We are one with you here the same
Mother, can you tell me please
Am i safe
I decide for the world
And i decide to be born
I decide for the world
And i decide to be born
What will i think of this world?
What will i do in this world?
Will i be afraid of this world?
Toni Childs -Welcome to the world –
And go to sleep
Go to sleep my baby (repeat)
Let me welcome you to this world
And let me tell you of my world
How it is
And how it is
You want to know now
I want to say that it’s a bad world
And tell you that it’s so, so bad
I don’t want to disappoint you my child
But this world is gonna take you
Gonna take you by storm child
You will be hurt and there will be pain, yeah
But there will be love just the same, yeah
Welcome to the world my boy and girl
Welcome to the world, welcome to the world
Welcome to the world child
And all it has in store
You will do what you do
What you choose any old time
And take how you take
You’ll begin to find
That fight as you fight as you will in life
Solutions, confusions
Won’t you take this time now
I want to welcome you to this world
And yes, there’ll be days and nights
When you know the world is alright
Round and round the world we go
Easy come, some say, easy go
The world could be a better place
But it’s going to take the whole human race
We want to welcome you to this world
And yes, there’ll be days and nights
When you’ll wonder is the world right
We want to welcome you to this world
And yes, there’ll be days and nights
When you’ll know the world is alright
We all bounce on the big world ball
Come child, come with me
Come and bounce onto this world and see (repeat)
We are joy
We are light
We are darkness and we are night
We are hands and heads and ears and nose
We are feet, fingers, limbs and toes
We all, we all
We are bouncing on this big world ball
We pull triggers
We play with guns
We play with shoelaces and we twist our tongues
We are kisses
We are huggs
We are the match that will light you off
Being that the title of this blog is Anything Imagined, it
seems appropriate to first ask how you get inspired and what boosts your
imagination?
Everything and nothing…
Sometimes people say “they don’t have a creative bone in
their body.” Have you thought much about creativity and do you believe that
what they say is true? Or do you think anyone is capable of creativity if they
chose to be?
I think this people are wrong. I think that everybody have some creativity inside his soul…. if not, How he could he improvised , solve problems, feel empathy… let his mind wander and wonder or enjoy any kind of art.
What do you hope to achieve through your blogging and creative pursuits?
I hope to touch other souls
