Catwoman of Oz
Movie Mash-Up Monday featuring Batman and The Wizard of Oz…
Catwan’s days of fighting distasteful characters on the street had grown tiring. She’d been trying to find an infamous mobster and brute, known for his abusive nature. But the man was too elusive. Finally her search took her to the Gotham city limits. Little did she know the weather had other plans for her.
Whirling wind enveloped the devilish woman as she reached the city line. Twisting in the massive tornado as she was pulled into the air, Catwoman saw strange things like a laughing green woman and talking scarecrows. Then she blacked out.
Waking to find a haze of bright colors all around her, Catwoman realized she wasn’t in Gotham city anymore. Strange, small, curly toed men sang songs about lollipops. There was a self-righteous woman in a cotton candy pink dress. Then came the green woman again, cackling like coal on a fire. Catwoman wasn’t much for sentiment, so naturally she wasn’t frightened when the green cackling witch threatened the life of the woman in pink who called herself Glenda.
“You can do what you like with that one” laughed Catwoman. She flicked her whip around her waist.
The evil witch smirked at Catwoman “Oh, in that case I know just what I’ll do with her.”
The following moments raced quickly by. Glenda, the good witch, disappeared. Suddenly Catwoman felt a jolt of tingles run through her. Her voice rang out with a dainty scream she hadn’t planned, causing her to cringe. She looked down to see pink frills stitch by stitch combining with her black leather clothing.
“What have you done to me?” Catwoman hissed.
“Ha ha ha” the green witch cackled, “I did what I felt like with Glenda.”
“Oh, dear” Catwoman’s voice gently replied without her consent, “Why must you be so cruel?”
“You that were Little pretties, now you can be one not so little pretty” the wicked witch of the west chanted before she disappeared into in thin air.
There they were left, Catwoman and Glenda the good witch, combined into one person. Each saying their own words over the other, fighting for presence in their one body. They were a spectacle the little munchkins found hysterical, stumbling about in their black leather, sparkling pink garb.
“Well, this can’t go on” Glenda calmly stated.
“You think?” Catwoman growled.
“We’re off to see the wizard” declared Glenda. “Surely he can fix this. Lets follow the yellow brick road!”
