I hope it’s been a nice relaxing weekend. Today, I dug up some fun Shrek themed mashups for Movie Mashup Monday. Also, I’m very excited to share a beautiful The Labyrinth Wall surprise that arrived for me in the mail this past week.

The Labyrinth Wall Art
Last week was quite wonderful because a lovely surprise arrived in the mail. It was a big box with “fragile” written on all sides. The sender of this package, Darin Garnett, was so excited about the gift, when he shipped it, he asked that I wait to open it until we could Facetime. Of course, suspense and excitement built up and below is a photo of my reaction when I finally opened the package.
It was an awesome The Labyrinth Wall symbol, made from pine and hand crafted by Darin Garnett. His work is extremely beautiful. This one of a kind masterpiece is now hanging in my living room, and I could never thank Darin enough. He said he had the idea when he first started reading the book, and has worked on it for months. Each piece of raised wood is cut out separately and glued on. Imagine the dexterity to cut those kind of curves? What an honor to own a Darin Garnett piece, much less one inspired by The Labyrinth Wall. I will treasure this always!
