The Labyrinth Wall Release Date Announcement
Please pardon my absence last week (I felt bad missing that post). But I can say it was for good reason. I decided at the last moment to hop on the NaNoWriMo train. And by last moment, I mean the train was already gone, so I’m playing catch up =-) I’m now at 12,295 words on the first draft of the sequel to The Labyrinth Wall. I plan to reach at minimum 15,000 words today.
Speaking of The Labyrinth Wall, today I’ve got some very exciting updates!
Drum roll…
The Labyrinth Wall will be published on January 2nd 2014!!!
Side note: thank you so much to everyone who has shown interest and encouraged my journey to this point. I could just go on thanking so many people who have helped me and this book get to this milestone, but I’m saving that for everyone to read in the acknowledgements 😉
So here is the schedule for the release…
December 18-21: The Labyrinth Challenge
What’s this you ask? This is what I’m calling the Cover/Website reveal for the book. And what is the special challenge? It is actually two-fold.
1. I’ve created a vintage arcade style game called Labyrinth Escape. The code will be given to participants to post on their site along with the cover and book information (it will all be emailed). The first challenge is to beat Labyrinth Escape. And watch out, between the spikes and the lava, it’s no walk in the park 😉 (But seriously, no worries guys, you can do it, probably in five minutes).
2. Every post will be given a different quote from the labyrinth wall. The second challenge is to visit each blog and count how many quotes came from The Labyrinth Wall main character, Araina. Circle back here to Anything Imagined and comment saying how many in my Labyrinth Challenge/Cover Reveal post. To give everyone time to visit blogs, I will wait to randomly select a winner until December 23rd at noon (Eastern Standard time). The winner will receive a $15 electronic Starbucks giftcard (just in time for the holidays:)
It should be a pretty fun time. If you want to participate, it will be as simple as signing up below. I will send the information to your email, and voilà. Even if you can’t participate but think it sounds cool, I’d be thrilled if you can share the event badge and link back here.
January 2-6 The Labyrinth Wall Monster Party
This is what I’m calling The Labyrinth Wall book release blog tour/ blog fest. Inspired by wonderful book releases by others, such as Rachel Morgan’s The Faerie Prince, I thought it would be fun to have a blog fest/ blog tour.
The Labyrinth Wall Monster Party Blogfest is your opportunity to post about your favorite labyrinth monster from myths, stories or movies. Or you have the option to make up your own labyrinth monster and tell us all about it. Along with participating in the blogfest, I will send you information about the book release and a trailer video to post. If you think you can squeeze this in your schedule, sign up below. As a thank you, a winner will be selected at random from the posting participant list to win a $15 electronic Amazon gift card =-)
Early Bird Copy of The Labyrinth Wall:
Also, anyone who would like a free early bird digital copy of the book is invited to sign up here. These copies will be given to individual’s who are able post a review on goodreads, amazon, their blog or their favorite social media platform and send me the link before January 3rd, 2014. Submit your information below, and a copy will be sent to your email.

P.S. Don’t worry. I didn’t forget Movie Mashups.
